"The real potential of using Realsmart can only be realised by schools being part of a nurturing but challenging network where practice is shared and developed collaboratively. We find that there are always schools willing to share their ideas and resources with others and the SET support days allow that to happen.

The SSAT initially became involved because of the excellent feedback that was being received from schools on their use of Realsmart. We firmly believe in the power of networks and suggested that including free regular support/training days was essential to ensure that the use of the tools becomes embedded and is constantly developing."

'I was unsure as I drove well over 100 miles to get there as to whether it would be worth the effort. However the style and structure of the day was perfect for what I needed. I have returned to work with lots of fresh ideas...'

'We are all busy teachers and using a new tool for assessment is a big step to take. The support days push you into using what is going to be a really useful tool in the classroom. (Yes, I did use it the next day with a class – there were glitches but I can now sort these ready for the whole department after half term) Thoroughly recommended'

'Once the principles of the software had been explained it was exciting to realise how much potential it had to dramatically change our students' experience of learning. Within a couple of hours I had created a superb, interactive unit of work for my Economics class that incorporated learning objectives, assessment ladders, student guidance, webpage links, a youtube video and a variety of tasks and resources that students could access and monitor at their own pace. Not only that, but I'd also been inspired with ideas of using the software to share Enterprise projects with our feeder schools, and to set up a blog for our students and their mentors on work experience. Not bad for an afternoon's work!'

'This is the best product that I have ever seen for creating a dynamic, process based digital portfolio. Having seen RAFL the decision is made. This is our 'next step' product. Can't wait to get this in place and start the learner and mentor training.
Brilliant!!!'

'I really like Real Smart.  I think it is quick and easy to use and has lots of useful applications.

In future sessions what would be really good is practical ideas sessions where Real Smart has been used in the classroom.I would also like some new skins for the front page - what happened to 'snot'!!
Thank you very much!'

'That was an excellent afternon - topping an excellent morning!! I anticipate that Kent will have a thriving pilot in the early New Year
